It's hard not to take sides, but I don't want the owls or the lions to starve either. I like raccoons, generally... But this particular cat, if it was my Big Orange Cat, I like particularly.

It certainly was! The raccoons had a lower pitched snarling sound, the cat was screaming as they do. It was the weirdest sound since the night a vixen was howling for her mate to get right home! You can find the sound of that with a search for fox noises.

Animals can certainly make terrible sounds when they are fighting or when they are being eaten by a bigger animal. I'll never forget when a big owl ate a squirrel in my front yard. Only the tail was left in the morning.

Good morning
That had to be quite a disturbing racket to wake up to. I love raccoons and I love cats, but when it comes to the two getting along, that is not an option. They are both living on the instinct to survive.
