Well of course we only knew him from the time you decided to share . I know he had a rough time. One could always feel his presence and sometimes his little cryptic remark. It must be very sad to lose a son one does not get over these things quickly. Do take care .

Good morning

It really is shocking to see just how big those naval ships are when you are up close. The USS Curts is quite a ship. He must have been so proud to be in her company.

It takes a special person to opt for a life of service while maintaining

ties with family. The love that surrounded him, even when so far from his mom and family, had to be what made it possible.

That's okay - he was not only able to share your home later, but also lots of events he lived through during that time. Keeps conversation interesting. Although, if I remember right, he was able to keep things interesting even with daily going-ons as a subject too. Dry wit he had - it showed in his comments you would mention here in Blogit. Nothing I enjoy more.
