What such damaged and benighted parents never seem to realize until it's too late: Their kids will do better than they did, have their number, and will love them maybe, but never forget. Children don't stay children.

That miserable excuse for a father sounds like just the kind of guy
who would run for political office. (Nuff said.) Daughters may just be better off without his "help." I hope you get a nice gentle rain and that Charlie's friend makes a connection and finds a wide market for his games. Re-read my first comment, & thought of deleting on account of snarkasm, but instead will just add my hope that ex-dad's absence will not keep the young women from being and doing.
