I think the way the economy is going and how so many are losing house or apartments...you might be surprised. You could also donate to charities that have resell shops.

Our tomatoes are ripening in the greenhouse we have mostly small ones as apparently they are easier to handle I hope we have at least two months before it turns chilly, but as usual we get the odd frost which is annoying. I like hearing about your meal preps. My brother bought a very hot curried chicken by mistake I had to skim the liquid off.

I love strawberries and other fresh fruit in desserts. Another favorite of mine is lemon cake with a layer of lemon curd or lemon pudding. Yum!

Sherri, your food always sounds so good. If I lived close to you I would make you a strawberry bomb cake. You'd never be the same again. It would be your go-to cake. I have a lot of books too but my problem is that I love my books. I do need to let some go though.

I don't cook a lot of fancy stuff just for myself. That's why it is fun to look at food on the computer. But, our football season has started with two pre-season games and there is another on Thursday evening. Son P.D. and Grandson Phil always come to my place to share the CHIEFS games and I like to have meals or goodies for them.

Good morning
I am still getting an abundance of tomatoes and peppers. I pickle the peppers so that they last longer. I made pico de gallo for the party on Saturday and the kids wiped it out. Now I am looking towards making some sketti sauce since I can always freeze it. I am looking forward to cooler days as well. John and my birthdays are in October. I need one of your strawberry bomb cakes to celebrate the day. It sounds positively delish! Like Pat, I would love to have a huge yard sale. I have hundreds of books and knick-knacks that I would like to get rid of, but after paying $15-$25 for each book, it is hard to just donate them. I found a book store that buys them, so I might do that.

I have also been wondering what to do with dishes & knick-knacks
that I no longer use. I thought of a garage sale, but that's an all day prep and all day sales event, and there won't be enough of a profit in it to cover my time. I don't know if there's much of a market for doo-dads and thing-a-ma-jigs.
