During a time of drought, my mom re-rigged the washing machine drainage to go to the roses in her garden. They loved it, bloomed better that year than any other! That was when there were lots of phosphates in the detergents.

We are in the southeast 60 miles or so from London our water company is lucky I
heard that they have two large underwater natural reserves but even those will not
last forever. Well always heard it was bad for them. I'll check it out, i.e if the cat is still alive.

People need air conditioning in this heat. It was 97 F here today. Our watering is restricted snd the yards are terrible. Hooe it gets better for all.
i thought cats liked milk. didn't know it was bad for them.

C_C_T, during these really hot days I wish you had air conditioning in at least one room. If I was going to pick a room I would say your bedroom so you can get a good night's sleep. I'm thankful Archie came down and watered for you. If they put restrictions on your hose it will definitely be a hardship. I'm hoping you get rain soon. We just might have to do a rain dance at this point.

When it is 92 degrees here in Pittsburgh, air-conditioning is a must. The humidity becomes unbearable in such extreme temperatures.

Having the neighbors keep an eye on you, reporting if you resort to
the hose instead of a bucket - well that should save the police department some man hours, when all they have to do is write up a ticket and collect the fine... Perhaps we can all be friends again after a nice gentle rain and a cooling off period.
