They are so up high there. I didn't know some laundry lines were like that.

My Mom always hung out bedding especially because she loved the fresh smell of them.  She did towels and wash cloths in the dryer because it made them soft and fluffy.  Here, even though there is plenty of yard room both front and back, it is a definite no-no to hang anything outside--not even anything on your balcony.  Love the old photo.

Good Afternoon

Sherri, I have a feeling if the issues with the power grids continue it will become a necessity to hang clothes outside to dry.  That would mean we've come full circle and we are back to the way it used to be.

Good Afternoon

Oh Wow!  This picture is worth one thousand words.  It tells a story of life many years ago.  I have a clothesline and Roy will put his jeans on the line on warm, sunny days.  We have it a lot easier than they did back in the day because all we have to do is walk out the back door and the clothesline is right there.  We keep our clothes pins on the back table.  I love the fresh smell of clothes when they've dried in the sun.  We also have a clothes rack inside for when the weather is bad and we don't want to put something in the dryer.
