Wonder if I could convince that eagle and her family to relocate? Some juicy squirrels up here...many of them scrambing in and out of my roof space.

Sigh, what can I say apart from the fact this is so well written I just became part of the story. I wouldn't want to see any of the top predators go extinct so one just has to accept they have to feed as well and maybe just maybe if there was no predator we would have squirrels rushing all over the place and in the ceiling and everywhere.

It's a natural inclination to choose sides, but I feel for the squirrels and for the mother hawk and her chicks!

Well I hope it was a fat rat, but probably it would be a mouse. I suppose the ratio of

predators to the victims has to balance out in the long run. Poor squirrels they have

to be careful in your back yard.

This is so well written.  One really gets into the spell of it and then that is all and we have to wait for another one.

Good morning

Uh, oh. Herb better be on his game as Harriet isn't playing around.
