Losing weight...I think I have given up at the moment. I never enjoyed deserts or sweets. Could go for years without a chaocolate. These days just like Mother when she got older, all I want is the sweets. Go figure. I can't.

Good Afternoon

Pat, this is such an uplifting post to me.  I give you so much credit for trying and succeeding.  I think with your plan you will accomplish your goal.

Re: Sherri G

I know beer has a lot of calories, and I'm guessing it also contributes to IBS. I call IBS the "game of thrones" meaning it's a race to get to the bathroom "throne" on time when it has taken charge of the colon. I hope you and your doctor can figure out a solution to this condition.

Good afternoon

Good for you. It's so hard to lose those extra unwanted pounds. I will find out my weight when I go to my wellness check next week. I have many of the same issues that you described, although I tend to eat a lot of cottage cheese, soup, and veggies. IBS plays havoc on my body, and my problem is that at the end of the day, John and I drink beer with our dinner and after dinner. Beer will put on weight. I do ride my stationary bike daily, but in all truthfulness, if I would quit the beer, I would drop the excess weight.

For me the losing of weight is not too difficult.  The hard part is keeping it off after I have lost it.  It seems to be an endless cycle of up's and down's.
