Also one here living in the bottom of my field in the back. We have never seen him up near the house though. No harm done down there, so we let him be. I wonder if he is a friend of Gomer's?

Well, you certainly have interesting animals in your yard. I have never seen a groundhog in person. Should be a fun addition to your stories.

I have Gomer here as well who appears from time to time. Jim put bricks in front of his holes, but i moved them just enough. he eats off the dandelion heads like a good boy.

Good Afternoon
Pat, I love reading about the backyard animals and all their adventures. This is such a fun series. Now there's a new character for me to read about.

Pat I think you are begining to like this new character, I hope it would keep rats
away. I have never seen one in the buff, only photos. Perhaps you could just give it a
lt a little treat now and again. If it were a skunk, well that would be different.

Son P.D. has periodic boughts of fighting off groundhogs that insist on burrowing under his front porch and getting into his basement area. He's tried just about everything but they are insistant. Right now he thinks he has done it with cement but we shall see.

Good afternoon
I have to laugh because we are dealing with it as well. For as fat as they are, they sure can run when they need to. John has blocked his entryways with large river rocks, but he is relentless. We have named our groundhog, Gus. He eats the bird's seeds, the squirrel's peanuts, and the raccoon's treats. So far, he hasn't caused any real damage, but we are not fans of his digging large holes.
