Thanks for all these warm and supportive comments. My day has

completely turned around, it's cool and calm here today after 3 days of 100+ degree heat, Stubby the squirrel formerly known as Herb returned to say howdy from the maple tree this morning, and my next door neighbor brought me a couple of yummy, fresh-picked cucumbers from her garden. It's all good!

It doesn't matter how old we get - our sibling rivalry is always there, no matter how much regard we have for one another. Which is why I can hear my sis and me having this same kind of discussion.

My brother said you have 5 boxes of ice creams in the freezer. I know I said but you just took my waist measurement and height etc and said I was near excess for my age. I must try and lose 4lbs. So I asked him why don't you cut down on your wine consumption. No comment.

You are, of course, not alone, and many many people don't resist the urge to share the dark and dire stuff--I am glad for those who do find other things to share. It isn't as if we are not all getting plenty of that other stuff!

Good Afternoon

Pat, thanks for sharing your post. I think because of the state of the world I spend more time researching new recipes than watching the news. It's all too much for me. There's nothing I can do about the War, Covid, Politics, and Global warming. Not to even mention all the shootings everywhere. I think since all of this has taken place it's really changed me. I wonder if other people have changed too?

Good afternoon

Funny beats the depressing politics, shootings, a new and scarier COVID, and the many naked celebrities who wish to share their gems with the world. I remember those gross jell-O creations. There was even a clear 1960s "ring around the tuna" concoction that was made into a mold. At one time, the wiggly dessert was all of the rage. The kids today would have a real issue with those geriatric food choices.
