Yikes! I am afraid of heights too. That type of job is not for the faint of heart. Your son was a great seaman. He appears to have loved his time on active duty.

These letters to Mom from an "ordinary" seaman read like the script
of a really good movie. What an amazing son! So grateful our nation had him and his mates standing up for all of us.
