Rain and humidity and heat - gnomes get crabby I bet! Take care and stay cool.

Re: Re: Good afternoon

I bring my peppers to a boil and then simmer them in vinegar, water, garlic, onion, and a pickling seasoning blend. I put the peppers in jars. I then boil the jars for 10-15 minutes and then cool them. I keep them in the fridge. I save the liquid for about a month and simply blanch the next round of peppers and let them settle into the saved pepper juice.

Blame it on global warming 😀

A rainy day brings relief though here when the rain stops it gets humid.

Re: Good afternoon

Sherri, how do you pickle your peppers?

Good afternoon

The same here. It has been raining non-stop and I love it. It has cooled down enough to open the windows and air out the house. I picked a basket full of peppers and pickled them for John. In the last batch, he was surprised by a pepper that was firecracker hot, giving true meaning to its name.

The heat is bringing out the worst of the gnomes.

I know the heat brings out the worst in those little people. They get

cross and cranky over things they'd never notice on a cool rainy day. And those two fighting over the girl: if they're not careful she'll go off with someone else who doesn't get so possessive.
