we had a push bike as did most kids at my Primary school. it was slightly down hill to get to school but up hill all the way home and if the wind was blowing it was tough on little legs.

Good Afternoon
Pat, I love reading your posts about memories of when you were growing up. In grade school, we always walked to school. We would come home for lunch every day. I hope you have a good day. Stay cool!

Good morning
This was an enjoyable read. I love history, and more so the people that lived it and tell it. I can almost see you running for the bus. As for the bullies, there is never a shortage of them. It's great that you had a way to avoid them when need be.

I love your memory lane. Mine is much like yours except we lived in Kansas City and our school was five minutes away walking. We could see it from our front porch. I loved going to school.
