What a precious memory...such a detailed description of his routine...it's a mixture of fun & responsibility when children step out to pursue their dreams.

Good morning

He entered the Navy around the same time that my husband did. Boot camp and the beginning stages are a bit of a shock to both the military member and their family. We are friends here in Pennsylvania with a Stone family. Any relation?

Poor chap, I was enlisted but The Pay Corps was a bit easier than this. I wonder what he really thought.

Good Morning

I loved this post.  This shows the way it really is in training.  It can be rough but also rewarding if you follow the rules.  I know I couldn't do it but many can and put in many years of service.  My one nephew was a drill instructor for the Marines and I have a nephew and his wife that retired from the Air Force.  I hope you had an excellent 4th and I hope you have a good week.
