I am wishing you well with the sales...It is enough to make one's heart cold.

Good Morning

Great post as always!  I hope that you have a good week.  Our holiday has come and gone but the heat remains.  We are trying to keep the garden going but yesterday it was so hot that the tomatoes were under stress.  If it's not the cut worms then it is the heat because the garden has no shade.  It's in the sun.  Every year is hot but for some reason, we are having more trouble this year.  Roy watered everything really good again.  I hope it helps.

Re: Good afternoon Sherri

Well these were or are tall daisies . I do not think the squirrels would munch them.

Re: Pat

No it is hard graft sometimes. One has to remember one cannot carry ten gallons of water in both hands. Grandma knew her onions.

Re: Sea Gypsy

Thank you, Yes one has to be firm or be walked over.

Loved your poem. As for daisies, I avoid them. Good you told Archie.

I would not be up to doing all that hard work in the garden, either.

Back in my late 60s I could pick the berries, make and bottle the jam in an afternoon and feel no ill effects. Wish I had that stamina now, but as grandma Lucy used to say, I should wish in one hand and shell peas in the other and see which one gets full first.

Love the sweet primrose, the fleeting love, not so much.

Good afternoon

There is something to the cemetery daisy thing that is a bit disturbing, but such is life. We all must eventually push up daisies.
