Being from Missouri, loved reading Twain. He wrote of the culture of his times. I don't have to agree with how some were treated. I am awakened at what used to be and how far we still need to go.

I am happy to weigh in and remark on your Post. I believe if we just ignore where our ancestors were, how they thought and spoke then how can we ever improve society and ourselves as a species; yes I am educated and understand that there was a time when our ancestors ran around covered in hair all over their bodies. I am aware that those that lived near the equator naturally had more melanin in their skin to stop cancers and sun stroke. Their skin and hair were both darker than those people who lived far away from the tropics. The only reason I am a natural Blond is from my ancestors who were a mixture of very Northern European peoples. Not better than anyone, nor worse.
