I love my Cardinals. I had a pair in Canada and did they follow me here? They look just the same anyway. The belief is that if you have a cardianl around it is a visit from Someone in Heaven. it comforts my soul to think that Wiley is watching over us.

Pat, I'm so glad everything worked out and you got your yard cut. I felt bad when Cornelius said he was hurt but fortunately it all worked out in the end. I'm glad you solved the mystery with your grapes. Enjoy your day!

So glad you got it sorted out with Cornelius. He was overstepping, but sounds like he didn't realize where that boundary was. Especially in hard times, needing to meet our needs can overwhelm other considerations.
Cardinals do not show their beaks in Colorado, and I would be so delighted to see one! Those, and fireflies!

That is wonderful that you were able to speak with Cornelius and everything worked itself out. Yard work during the hot summer days can be rough. It's great to have a reliable gardener. Your squirrels will also now have better access to those grapes. Have a wonderful day!
