Oh, ouch! You did get lucky. Metal and skin connecting are not a good match. I am happy to hear that you didn't get hurt badly. As for those bloody trousers, a good soaking in some ice water will get the blood out. Just don't dry them until the stain is gone.

Good Afternoon
C_C_T, thank goodness you are okay! You were lucky you didn't have to go and have stitches. When I was in grade school I fell on a rock and cut my leg very badly. I ended up with 60 stitches and then it got infected. My leg took forever to heal and I had to have physical therapy. Be careful and stay safe!
