Good morning
You absolutely did not overstep in any way shape or form, but he has on several ocassions. He is taking total advantage and should be on the list of services no longer needed by a blood sucker. It's wonderful that your kids watch out for you. That kind of stress in not needed in anyone's life.

I do love the way your kids love you and want to protect you. Every "Elderly" person does not have that from anyone, not even their kids. I was reading something today that spoke about a "very elderly man" and then said he was 80 years old, and I started laughing and gave up reading that.

Agreed, he has overstepped.
I was just thinking about how Charlie's housemate seemed often to misunderstand his relationship with me, seeking rides, pickups from work... This is the one who asks for a lift to the grocery store if I'm going there anyway, and then tries to add on a few more stops along the way. Of course, if Charlie asks for any of such things, I would certainly do it unless there was some really good reason why I couldn't. But it has taken several years for the housemate to get it that I am not his mom. I have gotten better at feeling ok at saying no, but have tried to make it clear that I am his last, not first resort when he wants a ride!
Your lawn guy didn't even have that much of a relationship with you. I wonder if you can actually block his calls.

Sons and daughter are all in the right. he is taking advantage of you and will want more and more. Just let your adult children handle this and Don't have anything more to do with said Gardener. I am glad a grandson is going to be mowing the lawns...you can give him icecream and drinks cos he is family.

Good Afternoon
Pat, Oh my! I'm not sure what to say that your children have not already said. I'm like you and would have tried to help but for one thing, it's too hot outside to be driving anyone around. I am glad your grandson will be doing your lawn now. I think your family is fantastic! Oh and another thing I would never call you elderly. You are one feisty lady that everyone loves.
