I hadn't thought about the chicken hat in a long time. I have no idea where it is or whether I have it anymore. LOL. I'll have to ask Sis if she has it. We used to hide it from each other where it would pop up now and then. Once I froze it in a big cube of water and put it in her refrigerator freezer so it was peering at her through the ice.

Correction! I thought Black Bear Pass was along the highway which is a very scary road, even paved! The video is quite a different place, and actually, I am kinda glad I was never at that one!

I thought this post was going to be about chickens... and a certain hat, possibly...
On an adventure in the Capitol Forest outside Olympia WA, I tried a logging road, or what was once long ago a logging road, and decided pretty quickly I had better back down. I told my daughter who was a teen at the time to get out until the van was on safe ground again!
I know that road outside Telluride! Charlie and I drove it one night in bad weather and I was glad that there was a big semi in front of us, keeping it slow!

Taking a wise precaution is not chicken. Chicken is when you stand
in the hallway for an hour while kids on the other side of the door are being slaughtered by an 18-year-old with an AR15.
