Re: adnohr,
Not to worry... It's Foster's. I understand that even people who like beer don't much like Foster's. But it is cheap and comes in an oversized can!

I have such a dear friend in Singapore. She is Chinese Singaporean and the whole family became friends eventually as we stay in touch.

Actually, I always think of you as a young lady. I suppose it is
remembering your photo with Bird. Funny as one becomes older one cannot believe
that others do the same. I hope your dahlias are not showing slug damage we have
never known it so bad, it must be the dry weather and the slugs are coming out at
night to chew anything moist. Someone said if anyone had just a few a dish of
beer makes a good slug trap.

Good afternoon
I love this post. The positive vibes are simply amazing. I have only been to Seattle once in my life. My memories of this beautiful city are special, but nothing like your memories. Thanks for sharing.

"Auntie" is a wonderful connecting word that builds rapport.
When I lived in Seattle & sometimes walked a couple blocks to a grocery store on my lunch hour, I often encountered a small group of Native guys who lived on the street. They panhandled me the first time I saw them, and when I asked how they were doing as I fished in my purse for a couple dollars, they all grinned. They called me Auntie that day as I went on my way, and at times thereafter.
