It's great to see you back on here. I didn't realize how many weeks had gone by between posts. Time flies.

Mix-up just made me smile, and knowing that I am not the only

one who does it was a relief!

Fuel costs are certainly high, CCT. I hate to think of people having to

stay in bed to keep warm. Food cost is exhorbant now too. Breaks my heart to see the elderly and the disadvantaged restrict their purchases to only the cheapest things, and not much of that even. Something will have to change.

Re: No problem for the T Shirts, Ciel. But I only have 2 work uniforms

and worked all week, so needed either to do laundry or to invest in a new bottle of perfume.  Not so sure my colleagues would appreciate the latter.

Hi Goldiec - I went without for 21 days during the ice storm in 1998.

Worse - I had no wood stove or access to a generator at the time. It was an experience!! This time at least it was not too cold nor too hot, so endurable.

Re: Thank you, TAPS. Happy to be back too.

And was happy to see that you had posted!!

It sure feels weird being thrown back into 'the good old days'

without power, without water, and without phone or internet.  To think I was raised in that!! It would have been easier if I hadn't been working, necessitating heating water on the BBQ for sponge baths and running into town to do laundry at my son's house. There is definitely a push button generator in my future!!

Jo brought me his push button start generator, so that helped lots!

As for the results, we have unanimously decided that our minds are only going to go there once we know. NOT crossing that bridge until we come to it, if we do. RIght now he's happy that he should be able to get some golf in this season.

Ciel

Made me smile , It is little things like this that keep one feeling that everything is

O.K. Sorry about the mix-up. Siblings need vocal support.

Glad you have got back to normal. Sadly fuel costs are wreaking havoc a good job it

is warmer. Older folk have been staying in bed afraid to use the heating, we have all

received a small payment but peanuts really for some. Sorry, I wrote on Ciel's blog

by mistake. A good job I toned it down.

Welcome back! Being out of power for 8 days is a terrible long time! Lucky for me, if it happens, I have enough T-shirts to see me through such a time of inaccessible laundering!

Good Evening

I was so happy to see that you made a post.  I wasn't sure what happened.  I'm glad that your son is doing good and hopefully the results will be good.  I cannot imagine what it is like to go without power for so long.  The longest we've had to go without electricity was for three days and that was bad enough.  I wish you and your fur babies a good night.

Now I'm smiling - happy because you're back online. Good news

about your son. Fingers crossed this is the last outage and combination of bad luck you'll have to deal with for a good long while.

Thankful you had no worse harm than what you suffered. A week without power is a long trial. I am glad the surgery is over and am waiting for the results. praying lymph nodes are free of the wretched evil.
