Your title here made me start thinking about the old movie "Rear Window" and other Alfred Hitchcock movies. I always looked for the cameo appearances.

That is a really interesting discovery. Root cellars were once a very big deal. Maybe if she digs deep enough she can locate a Mason jar full of old coins.

Oh Wow! I was hoping the neighbors had found buried treasure. I think the history alone is priceless! I was still hoping for pirates' gold though.

Of course today such constructions are soon demolished with heavy diggers when a new building site is being constructed. A man told me once: that he operated one huge digger. He said he unearthed a surround of stone seats. He was told to cover them again. A shame really.
