Sassy, I love peppers and onions with just about anything. They are so good. I've been slowly cleaning out the freezer and when I took the last pack of ground meat out to cook today I accomplished my goal of using all the meat. I wanted to restock for the summer months and hopefully, I find some deals at the grocery store. I hope you have a great vacation. I know it will be wonderful to see your family. I hope you share lots of pictures!

I just read an article online about the Texas Roadhouse restaurant
chain, something about their menu, with "Eat This, Not That" as the author. They described a menu item called "Road Kill," which is chopped steak smothered in onions and mild cheese. Next time I'm there, I think that's what I'll order. I thought of your variety of menus when I read that article, all the yummy things you describe, but the term "road kill" just struck me as hilarious.

Yes, all energy prices are up, it has encouraged the government to give a payment to the neediest. I planted some shallots Archie gave me, but I think they must have been heat treated because they just sit there and do not root.

Good afternoon
Peppers and onions are always the start of a really good meal. The rain has caused chaos in our yard too. As soon as the yard dries up, I will cut it. I am also detailing our car today. I'm doing a refrigerator clean-out this week in preparation for our road trip that starts this weekend. Yesterday, I made breakfast for dinner then today I moved on to a small helping of potato salad and chicken salad on Everything bagels for John's lunch, and tonight he will get spicy chicken sandwiches with a side of macaroni & cheese. I will finish off the French bread pizza with mushrooms. We will be gone for a week, so I want anything that will spoil to be gone. It's a busy week, but it will end in fun.
