Sea Gypsy, I'm getting a West Bend slow cooker. I'm not sure if it can brown the meat before it cooks. I will have to read the directions when it gets here.

Sounds like a lovely Mother's Day for you. What kind of slow cooker are you getting? I would love one that browns the meat before it cooks it.

Sassy, I couldn't believe the price of the shoes. They should last for a long time or at least I hope so. It really is a nice day in the city. We opened a few windows and I love that after the house was closed up for so long because of the weather. I hope you have a wonderful day.

It's wonderful that you had an eventful mother's day. You are right about good shoes, they are expensive. I just bought new sandals for our trip later this month. I was shocked by the sticker price, but I needed them, so all I can hope for is that will last a few years. Roy is a really wonderful guy. It sounds as though we both got lucky with our guys. They are a lot alike. Enjoy your day, it's a pretty one.
