Even in non-hyperinflationary times, cable bills have a tendency to creep upward. It's like they want people to desert them for streaming.

Kabu, I think you are right and they believe we will pay whatever the cost but this time they are wrong. Everything is going up across the board and there's only so much money. At some point, something has to give and for me, it's the cable.

Pat, I think you are right and they raise the prices because they can. I think that boils down to greed and people cannot afford these high prices.

C_C_T, it seems like everything is going up from week to week. Our grocery prices are very high and our utilities are through the roof. The gas prices increase almost daily. I wonder when these high prices will end.

Sassy, I opted to go with streaming because the cable is the only other option. The prices just continuously go up. It cleared up this afternoon and the sun came out.

I believe it is opportunism. The companies interconnect and believe we will accept the fact their is a war to support and a Pandemic not yet finished with and will pay whatever we have to for everything. I am sick of it. Every-time in my life when things go wrong in the World, we the little people have to suffer.

because they can. Seems to me there's a lot of price gouging these days, including gasoline prices and groceries. It can't all be due to Covid.

Gas and Electric bills are racing ahead here. Once the over 70s were entitled to free television,but no longer. Everything is increasing in price almost daily. I have heard of folk giving up the daily paper, but I think a lot more sacrifices will have to be made.

Good afternoon
The same here. It was raining heavily earlier, but at least it's not cold. I guess that they don't call them April showers for nothing. As for the cable bill, that is ridiculous. Ours went up too. We pay $209.00. Just a few years ago it was only $170.00. We only have one option in our area, and that is with Comcast. The service is terrible too.
