Just got an answer from Trish - Kabu is okay - she's away on a site-seeing

road trip. Trish talked to her on Thursday, so all good.

It's not so much fun to drive with snow covered roads,

but most people here have 4 wheel drive and mandatory winter tires in this province, plus we're pretty used to the slipping and sliding and we tend to drive accordingly. It's very rare that I am not safe or comfortable or happy, thank you for that wish!

My parrot decided to take a stroll yesterday, on the floor instead of

flying. She waddled over to the dogs' blankets and pecked at their paws. They were not impressed, LOL! April is a weird weather month; May should straighten it all out.

Ref Kabu

She hasn't answered my messages and when I called it went straight to voicemail. I have written a message to Trish, the girl she has 'adopted' as a daughter, and am waiting for an answer back. Getting a little worried here too.

Snow tires are mandatory for the winter months in Quebec, FSI.

And many lives have been saved because of that!

And She seems to be more fickle as time goes by!

It's not only relaxing air, it's the white noise!

It was off and on all day, but we are pretty used to that out here.

As long as I can get water jugs filled in time. My team is the Toronto Blue Jays, of course! I heard about the Cardinal's win - Congrats!!

Please be safe and comfortable and happy.  I wouldn't mind seeing your pretty new snow, but then I don't have to get out unless I just want to.  But I surely do remember snow and ice days and nights working nurse shifts and maneuvering my little car to get there and back home.

I have sent her a couple of messages over past 2 days.

If no answer by tonight I will call her.

Good Afternoon

I do have to say freshly fallen snow is a beautiful sight.  I'm sorry you are having issues with your electricity.  I hope you have water saved for when the electricity is out.  I was telling Roy about asking you about Hydro and I asked him if he knew what it meant.  He told me it was power.  I wonder why I'm the only one that didn't know this.  Thank you for getting the demons to lay off our area.  The snow is gone but it's still raining.  The wind is picking up and I can see the branches flying around outside.  Tomorrow is supposed to be colder with rain.  I'm sure your daughter is an excellent driver.  Thankfully everything turned out okay.  I'm glad you got to watch your games when you got home from work.  I hope you and your fur babies along with your Parrot stay warm during this cold spell.  Enjoy your day.

Oh! dear your problems appear to jog along. Years since when it was really cold here we would put chains on the wheels. My dad would say we ought to put them on, sadly it was usually miles from home and not very nice crawling under and over ice.

No sign of Kabu a bit unusual.

Here's to hoping the electricity remains flowing...It's been a while since I've heard of snow tires. I guess that is the selling point of vehicles these days, no need for them.

I don't mind the snowflakes just so long as they stay in their corner, that would be during the winter. Their interrupting the spring solstice is a bit annoying, but Mother Nature can be a fickle one.

Good morning

Sorry to laugh about the fan, I use one nightly as well, and nothing will wake me up faster than the fan going off due to a power outage.

Glad your teams won. Not so happy about having snow in the

forecast here. I've been freezing in the house, partly due to sitting too much at the computer or in my La-Z-Boy with my crocheting, partly due to the constant north wind and the need to upgrade the weather stripping around my front door.  I'm a baseball fan, the St. Louis Cardinals especially, & they won their season opener. So it's a day to smile. Hope your hydro stays on & your feathered/furry friends keep the smiles coming.
