Much more expensive - I hear it every day as I ring things through the cash. Breaks my heart for the people on fixed incomes; they have no choice but to reducce their grocery quantity or selection because their revenues have NOT went up.

Re: Good morning
Sassy, it all sounds good to me. John is a lucky man to have you at home. It's been raining for days and a little while ago it got very dark and I thought there would be a storm but that passed by but the wind is picking up.

Re: It may be cheaper to get a small roast and cut it into cubes for
Pat, I was thinking the same thing. The cubes are nearly $10 and that's for a small pack.

Good morning
It's chilly here today too. I wish that the rain would stop, but it appears that is not going to happen until Sunday, but our first nice day isn't until Monday or Tuesday. It's smart that you clip coupons and plan meals for the week. I try to do meal planning, but John usually calls me mid-afternoon and makes a meal request. Beef stew is the perfect dinner for a chilly day. I am making Philly cheesesteaks with thinly sliced ribeye steaks, peppers, onions, and mushrooms on cheesy, garlic toast for John today. He could eat them three times per week. That and Italian sausage with peppers and onions. I don't eat much beef, so I am having a breakfast bowl with potatoes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese.

It may be cheaper to get a small roast and cut it into cubes for
stew meat when you get home than to buy it already cut up. I did that a couple weeks ago when the small pkg of stew beef was around $7.50 and the roast was around $6. Dollar here, a dollar there and you've saved enough for a chocolate silk pie.

Re:
FSI, I didn't see that episode of Diff'rent Strokes but I know I'd be petrified if I had to get rabies shots.

I've heard that, too, about rabies shots. It reminds me of an episode of Diff'rent Strokes, where Arnold was bit by a dog and was horrified at possibly getting rabies shots.
