That's a phenomenal amount for a squirrel eviction. Gasp 🙊. People here would have rather lived & suffered the foul smell.

I saw a show where the guy installed a "door" where they could get out but not back in the roof.

Hoping they don't! Not only annoying but I hate to think of the damage they

are doing - already see pieces torn from insulation floating down onto my gallery.

Good morning

I also agree with your decision. We have a family of squirrels that I feed, but so far they have not made my roof rafters their home. I can see where it could be a really annoying issue if they did.

Exactly, FSI!

My roof is very high and very big, so I expect that increased the fee. I used to like squirrels but....

Yes, Goldiec - my house is large. But what can one do?

We have a medicare system here, but Covid has our health care workers so overwhelmed, and the government tends to ignore their requests for help. Private is expensive, but the way to go for fast service. I expect I'll do lots of sleeping during the rain on my days off - the beasts don't bother going outside so often when it's pouring.

Its getting worse - although maybe more so up here because

of our healthcare system. The one I'm trying to see is an optometrist, and we pay out of pocket for those appointements. Those invaders got lucky - because it's so expensive they will get to prolong their stay

Re: I totally agree with your decision about the roof vs squirrel eviction.

Mine is a metal roof, Pat_B. A huge, orange metal roof. But there are parts where the edges were not finished right, and the squirrels just enlarged those weak parts to have access.

That's a lot of money for an extermination fee. When somebody says that squirrels are cute, I think to myself how they've never had or known anyone with a squirrel problem.

Good Morning

Oh my goodness the cost of removing rodents is unbelievable.  On that note, I would have to put on protective gear and hunt those invaders down with a sword if need be.  A new roof sounds like the way to go.  The only thing I will say about that though is the fact that new roofs are very expensive.  Is your house large?  If so that will definitely add to the cost.  In our nation's capital evidently, there has been a fox running rampant and he's bitten a few people.  It turns out the fox had rabies and now the people have to get rabies shots.  That's very scary to me.

It's hard to get in to see a doctor here too.  If I try to go to my family doctor there's a long wait but when I made an appointment with a specialist they got me right in.  It was very expensive though but thankfully he helped me.  I wish you the very best in correcting your eyesight.

I hope you enjoy your time at home even though it's going to rain.  It seems like it rains every day here.  I'm glad your Parrot has been happy.  I know your fur babies were happy to go outside.  Have a good day.

I totally agree with your decision about the roof vs squirrel eviction.

I saw something, maybe an ad, that the trend is toward metal roofing - wonder if that would stop the industrious little fuzzytails. I hope the forecast is wrong and you get a couple nice weathery situations for your days off.

Doctor's appointments are hard to come be these days.
I think the squirrel invaders have scared the doctors away.
