I caught them all on the fly.

Shared some with Karen and the animals...except the squirrels here. They don't deserve any.

Re: I only had 3 children of my own, but every kid in the village

adnohr,  he really does have a large family. He always does have a garden and we always have vegetables to share.  My great-grandma had 13 children and adopted a son that had lost his family.  They were mostly girls. I'm not sure how she ever managed.  My grandma was one of her children and I always heard stories about the family.

No - have never had enough sleep,, it seems.

But being a nurse, you know one can function on less snooze time than science says is required. How did they come up with 8  hours anyway? I don't think I know anyone (except maybe teenagers) who ever gets 8 hours for real.

I believe you, Sassyass!

They sure get lots of laughs when they happen....unless it's one of my sons, which can call for a gas mask.

Hmmm - not sure cabbage will help that, TAPS.

It makes other things work, but I don't believe any research points to the brain.

True enough, CCT. Cramps in the belly are no fun.

My parrot is the Quaker type, so smaller, and their life span is around 35 years. Because she is a rescue, we're not sure exactly how old she is - we're guessing about 15? They are lots of work, and can be very bad tempered on occasion. Their bites hurt!!!

Good afternoon

You had an eventful day, toots and all. I love cabbage, but it does the same to me as does many vegetables. I have always said that God had a sense of humor when he created farting.

I am getting slower and slower on making my brain work so blogit consumes my time when I come here.  And, for some reason, I lose a lot of posts before they are posted and have to begin all over again.  Does eating cabbage help that at all?

It is true Blogit is time-consuming, but I guess one pays for what one gets. I really

would like to go back to one blog page as I pay for three, but I don't like disturbing

the flow. I did read that flatulence well trying to be polite is not only normal but

without it one would soon turn up one's toes. I hope you enjoy your new job

eventually. Must tell you Archie has a parrot, it is 49 years old but now suffers from a

kind of breathing problem Archie said it because his mother kept the room too warm

and he had to take it to a place last year it was boarded for three weeks

and cost a

fortune, They are according to Archie to live to about 70. He said he will not have

another. I said, 'Well last year your wife said she would get another. He scowled.'

Good Morning

It sounds like your day was a success!  I must say I love cabbage come what may!  I know you loved coming home to your granddaughter.  She sounds absolutely delightful.  I was just thinking yesterday how nice it would be to have a houseful of kids.  Then I remembered all the work including cooking, dishes, clothes, housekeeping, and the list goes on and on.  I came to the conclusion that I do not believe I have enough energy to handle everything like I used to.  It would be fun for a little while then I'd get tired and possibly cranky.  My son has 6 children and he has his hands full on most days.  The two older ones live on their own but he still has his hands full with school, sports and not to even mention all the chores at home.  I get tired from thinking about it.  He's the one that just had a birthday and I made the spaghetti for him.  It has caused way too much trouble for me.  I have to come up with a plan for my sauce. On a side note, I love basketball.  It's my favorite sport. I could watch it every day.  Right now it's March madness and I've picked all my teams.  It's so much fun.  I hope you have a good day.
