TAPS - correction - that's FILLED with water. I have to learn to read what I write before posting a comment, especially at 3:30 AM!

Oh my, TAPS! You reminded me off the way we would use a wash basin

fikked with water from the wood stove resevoir to do that chore during the week days, but on Saturday night it was a sort of bath in one of those square wash tubs - the one Grandma used for rinsing clothes. My brother and I were small, so fit into it (mostly), but I have to wonder now how the bigger lads ever managed!

She is even more spoiled now, Kabu. We tend to pay more attention

to her whims, knowing that it's not her fault. Thank you for worrying about me, but it's ok - I'll be more careful this time around!

Thank you, Goldiec - today was a much better day pain wise.

For sure my fur babies, and my feathered friend too, feel the changes in the weather. The beasts are also tuned into my mood, and know when to be quiet or when to be rambunctious just out of habit. Except that darned bird. She has her own agenda!

A hot jacuzzi would be nice here, but they are not allowed and the tub is too difficult to get out of, so for me a hot shower is what I get.  But, I am thankful for that.  When I was a kid what we had was a galvanized tub we carried in from outside where it hung on the back wall.  We heated the water on the kitchen stove.  After the bath it took two people to carry it out.  So, I remember and enjoy my showers.

Good Morning

I'm so sorry you weren't feeling your best yesterday but I'm glad things are looking up today.  I wonder when the weather changes if the fur babies can feel it too?  I think it's wonderful that you make your home life a top priority over everything else.  I know your family really appreciates it and your little one loves to come over to spend some time with you.  I hope you have a pleasant week.  Monday is always the beginning of a new adventure for all of us.  I'm not sure what this week will bring for me but I do know it's going to be warmer than the freezing temps we have today.  Stay warm.
