They look like the little chaps which we call guinea pigs. Chewing through wood and other waste.

Spiders don't bother me, it is reptiles that cause me the most distress when an encounter with them takes place.

I like spiders better. Don't know if spiders are helpful to vegetables, but
they do prey on mosquitoes and flies of all varieties.
