RePat

Pat think of giant hoops covered with a single sheet of polythene unique stuff that is

supposed to last seven years. We also cover them with a light mesh net, so they are

not too hot in summer, and it helps keep the frost out in winter. I only have three of

them now. Radiation frost is the worst here, especially on a full moon. It is wise to

keep a film of moisture on the inside. It helps with the protection. I will plant just a

hundred Freesia bulbs just for the novelty. I think I have to force myself to do things

these days.

Re: adnohr

Yes, it is a bit of a pain to think I once carried twenty gallons of parifin in both hands.

Probably was necessary, don't make me cry.

Re: Good Morning Goldiec

Thank you, I think carrots are fairly hardy with the protection of course.  The tunnels are also covered with netting so I just took a chance if it does get frosted I will replant later with some red peppers but that will not be until the end of May. My brother used to plant his tomato seeds this month and then gave them to me to put in a heated greenhouse.

Good Morning

Oh my!  I'm so sorry to hear about your knee and leg.  I really do wish that you would rest at times.  I hope you are drinking your tea.  It should make you feel better.  I wish we could start planting but it's much too soon for us.  We are supposed to get snow tonight.  I know Roy starts his seedlings early so they will be ready for spring.  I hope I can find all my herbs this year.  We couldn't find one basil plant in the city last year.  I'm hoping this year things will be better.  I hope you have a good day!  Stay warm!

Leg braces do help, I find. I need to wear one now and then too. What is unnecessary happiness?

Good afternoon

Acceptance of fate is a big step. Life and the things that occur happen for a reason. I look at them as life lessons.

I hope your knee and leg feel great very soon. It does seem so early

in the year to be doing all the planting you've been doing - but you did say you've got your plants in a tunnel, (I'm thinking a quonset-style greenhouse) and you are the planting expert here. Feel better soon.
