Re: I read somewhere that the ages at which the memory works best are

Maybe Pat, I do try and go back in time and forward into obscurity. Of course, we did not have much of an education as I suspect half the teachers were only half-trained or brought out from retirement.

Re: FS

I bet you had a piece of wedding cake. Also, the bride always looks beautiful.

Re: Good Morning Sassy

I guess most of us are innocent at that age. Sassy. Yes, I have a gipsy one, if I can find it. We lived near to a massive camp once.

Good morning

This is such a lovely vision of sweetness and innocence from a four year olds view. He was a well-behaved young man to not have eaten all of the chocolate. As for the gypsy wedding, I witnessed a portion of one several years ago as they traveled through traffic in their ornate wagons. You never fail to deliver something fascinating each day.

I was six when my aunt and uncle got married. I wasn't at the wedding, but I remember the pre-wedding gathering at the house.

I read somewhere that the ages at which the memory works best are

four and seventeen. The brain's learning/storage capacity seems strongest then. I'm guessing that's why your poems from those years are so vivid and detailed.
