A doppelganger is a ghost who appears to be your identical twin but has different actions and emotions. They are often viewed as predictors of your impending death when you see your own body double. Doppelgangers have touched political figures like Abraham Lincoln who witnessed a double of his face in a mirror from across the room on the evening of his election. Queen Elizabeth, I reported to her confidants that she saw her doppelganger lying very still and looking rather sickly while attempting to rest. Soon after the reported incident, she passed on. The evil self-appointed Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia ordered her body double shot after witnessing it sitting on the royal throne. Soon after the incident in 1796, she died of natural causes.

The idea of doppelgangers intrigues me. They do seem to foreshadow something.

I never have seen what I thought was a dopplegangers of me, but we all see differently than each other so perhaps someone else has. I see dopplegangers of others all the time. It's an interesting part of life.
