Yes, it has been bad for you, I looked out of my window and saw four stationary cars each having mud splashes halfway up the body and the doors. I wonder if some folk here do not value the look of their cars.

I suppose it depends where one lives it is a lot colder up north. Here in the S.E.
it does seem to be warmer each year at present and not so foggy as it once was.

I think of England as mostly having coastal weather, similar to the
frequent rain and foggy days in Seattle, winter, spring and fall. Summers were mostly mild, and the truly most beautiful days I remember came in October, when the leaves turned color, the air was golden and the temps were mild. I think this fairly persistent gloom allows people's thoughts to turn inward and their creative minds to work a bit overtime. I could be wrong about this.
