I think just about any music that soothes...even jazz, soft rock, new age

Haha - no doubt they are lonely, CCT
Their owner talks to them, moves them around, watches out for them. They see me once a week, for watering.

Goldiec - Well they are getting their music, and watering.
We'll see what comes of it. I agree with you - they need to learn that everything cannot be their way, especially with my caretaking

Pat - I personally believe they are much happpier outside.
They also require less care there, so maybe that contributes to my person belief.

Sassyass - I'm really a newbie at it.
The truth? I'll take care of them because my friend asked me to do so, and I know she loves them all, but when I was here alone, there were maybe 2 plants in the whole house, one being an aloe that didn't need much care at all.

music has always helped my plants although I 'm not sure they need it 24/7. Give them a teaspoon of plant food every two or three weeks. tell them you love them. kiss their leaves as you water them. Smile at them They will thrive.

What amazes me is the penstemon, I know we have not had any kind of bad weather but these guys look as green as grass they are in pots standing outside. Perhaps your friend's plants were lonely.

Good Morning
I love this post! I have to say you have certainly made a long winter so entertaining. I never thought of playing music for my plants. Our plants thrive in the spring and summer when they are outside on the patio. I know they have all their friends outside and can listen to the birds and the neighborhood woodpecker during the warmer months. The problem comes in when fall arrives and they come in for the cold winter months. They really are not as happy as they should be. We make sure they are warm and have all the water they need but they want to be outside. I do have the television on and they can listen to the news and watch the shows if they would like but they want to go outside. The plants do not realize they would not last long in the winter weather. I'm thinking maybe my plants would like music too! Although I will say my plants seem to have attitude problems at times. I'm not sure what is wrong with them. They really have to learn that everything cannot be their way all the time. I hope you have a wonderful day.

I think they enjoy anything that sounds like a guitar, or birds singing,
but your choices of music so far sound like plant-friendly... I used to have a bunch of house plants, but this house is 100 years old, the windows are small and don't let in much light. All the ones I brought with me wilted and quit long ago. Having plants in the house is so good for the air quality - if I ever move, I'm gonna pay attention to how much natural light is available.

I play music on my desktop computer daily. Maybe this is why my money plant and aloe are happy and healthy. They sit right next to my desk.

Good afternoon
I share the same relationship with plants. I am an amateur gardener, but I know enough to keep what falls under my care alive. My ferns remain outdoors during the warmer months, and indoors during the cooler ones. My oldest is eight years old. It has taken trial, error, and much research to learn horticulture, but so far, so good.
