I'm sure she appreciated you offer,but you know how stubborn we elders can get when it omes to our being self sufficient.

I'm thankful that the lady is okay. She's very resourceful. I have to give her credit. Thank goodness you were looking out for her just in case she needed you.

That was kind of you. So many elderly people are forced to make do with what they have, although she may have actually enjoyed getting out and about.
