Re: Good Afternoon Sassy
I am glad your husband is progressing I did read that he is walking around albeit slowly. It does seem a shame some of the pallets Archie gets are brand new real nice white wood.

What is they say, one needs nourishment, not punishment. Of course, I should not
think you have many restrictions at present, I expect wood is quite reasonable in
your county. Here a section of a block works out at 50p. As the old ones would say burning money.

Re: Good Evening Goldiec
He has had quite a few and they were negative. I think he may be too plump he used to be like a greyhound when he did a milk round.

Re: Sea_Gypsy
Once pallets were covered with quite a big return value. Probably the cost of reclaiming them finished that. A form started making plastic pallets here but I don't think it was competitive. Yes, I have had to tone some of the oldies down once there were more gentlemen to cater for.

Re: FS
I know it is amazing what folk earn if one has retired it seems a lot, but things have increased in price so rapidly

Re: You and Archie seem to be hard workers, and very supportive
Well, one has to forgive little niggles; he keeps bringing me boxes of chocolates.
Neither he or his wife like them; she had them in a hamper. I suppose I shall have
to ration them out to about three a day.

You and Archie seem to be hard workers, and very supportive
of one another - old friends are the best friends seems to be the rule. I like your poem today, how the attraction between people is always mysterious and never completely understood. Never boring.

Bad pay can certainly ruin the joy in any sort of job...It's a great question to ponder at the end.

Here we don't have access to pallets. They are kept in large places with fence around them in industrial areas. You poem was, as usual, very dreamy with that surprise twist ending.

Good Evening
It seems Archie wants to do things his way but I hope he gets some rest. Aches and pains are not fun for anyone.

Sassyass's comment is good. Easier to feel that you were/are a friend than a potential lover jilted.
I use wood like that in my stove.

Your friend was guiding you to show off your creative skills, and that is the best kind of friend of all.

Good afternoon
Sawing up the wood I can imagine would be a painful job. Around here people give pallets away for free. People repurpose them into furniture and other things of use. John built me a vintage-looking garden bench out of pallets that I use for garden tools, storing potting soil, and transplanting flowers, herbs, and seeds.
