Re:

adnohr, I love spending hours in the library.  I always wished I lived within walking distance of the library.  That's where my family would find me.

Re:

Kabu, I feel the same way as you!  It's wonderful to walk through the doors of a library and feel like you've arrived home.

Re: Good evening

Sassy, I'm so happy that you've got a snowblower.  It will make life so much easier for you and John.  Stay safe and warm.

Sounds like we are much the same in Blogit. When I get into a library or a bookstore, it's hard to get me to leave.

Good evening

I am with you all the way. I just got two more books today to add to my collection. I have been too busy to read today trying to keep up with shoveling around the cars and the walkways, but our oldest surprised me by bringing John and me a new snowblower. He is going to play with it after he gets his boot fitted on Wednesday. It's freezing here too. We settled for soup that I had frozen from last month. I plan to make chicken salad sandwiches on rye bread tomorrow. I need to make up some meals that I can freeze. Maybe this weekend. Be safe and stay warm!

Pat, I have never read Malcolm Gladwell's books but they do sound very interesting.

Re:

C_C_T, thank goodness we do have four-wheel drive.  The winters in Cleveland can be treacherous.  We live on the Eastside and Roy works on the Westside so he's got to drive on the freeway to get there.

Re:

Annicita, the Stephanie Plum series is my favorite!  The grandma is a hoot!

The writer I follow most closely these days writes non-fiction - but

I have learned so much from reading his best selling books. His name is Malcolm Gladwell, and his first book "Outliers" explains why some people are so much more successful than others who went to the same schools & had similar backgrounds. An example he uses is that of Bill Gates.

Books are an awesome gift. They truly are a treasure.

I love books, but I have to use the Kindle as some of the writing in books is too small for me to read comfortably. It does sound cold, a four-wheel is a blessing. I hope your husband does not have to travel too far.
