I am always saddened when I hear parents vote to eliminate sex ed from the schools. This is when it is easier to teach the kids about safe sex and their vulnerability to STDs and unwanted pregnancies.

Yes, it was a good idea, not a thing many would wish to even talk about. Those ladies were truly dedicated .

We passed out condoms too, both to the ladies of the night and the young gay prostitutes. That dreadful disease - I lost a couple of friends to it. There is a huge Gay Pride Parade each year in Montreal - it's awesome to watch!

Good Morning
Pat, thanks for sharing such a great post. I learned some things I did not know. I hope you have a good day. Stay warm and safe. It is so cold here. I just went in the backroom to go in the freezer and it was so cold I thought I was going freeze.

Good morning
I have been to Seattle just once when I accompanied my mother on a business trip in 1981. My fondest memory of the big city was dining in the Space Needle. Walking in the heart of the Capitol Hill neighborhood sounds like a seriously remarkable destination to visit. New experiences that evoke one to really open their eyes are the best life experiences IMHO. I grew up near Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, the epitome of the gay lifestyle and businesses owned by members of the LGBTQ community. Most of the businesses are owned by gays. I also support and attend the Gay Pride Festival in Pittsburgh with my oldest daughter and her wife.

I remember a Greek restaurant right on the Ave... Great avgolemono soup! I don't recall its name... But it was one of my favorites, too!
Seattle Back Then... When the tallest building downtown was the Smith Tower!
