In mass-produced bread, there is very little fermentation built into the process which results in a more closed-cell structure. That's what I found on the web.

Kabu, stay warm and enjoy the snow until it melts. We have another cold wave coming in later in the week. We will have arctic temperatures. I'm so glad Mr. Graysome is in the house where he's toasty warm. He can look outside and see the beautiful snow and be warm at the same time. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Sassy, all the schools have closed for a second day. We are expecting lake effect snow today but I'm not sure how much. I'm so glad the kids got to play outside in the snow. I know they loved it. It's absolutely freezing here but we are toasty warm in the house. We have the fireplace going and I'm thankful for that.

FSI, I think it's going to take quite a bit of time before the supply and demand catch up and we can go back to normal. One of the problems we have now is that a lot of people do not want to work. I never thought I'd see a time like this. I guess this is our new reality.

C_C_T, your weather is so different from our weather and I have to say it's freezing outside. When you mentioned your flowers I couldn't help but think how much I miss our flowers. I do love the snow though so I'm enjoying it because it will be soon gone.

adnohr, I'm so glad you have power. That is a blessing! All of our schools were closed yesterday and they have closed again today. I do think it's for the best with all the snow and the arctic temperatures. They are reporting we may be getting some lake effect snow today. Stay warm!

Pat, it really was a nice day. I love the snow and I have to say everything outside looks beautiful. I made a hamburger casserole that turned out really good. I was surprised. I hope you have a good day. Stay warm!

It sounds very like Canada where you are today, We still have snow here but tomorrow is to be warm so it will thaw then comes a cold front and it will be so slippery.

It seems like no industry is untouched with worker shortages. It makes me wonder if the supply will catch up to the demand.

It is so unusual the Sun came out after a light frost and it was like a spring day. Tulip leaves are already 3inches high in places. I think we must be feeling the effects of the warming. Of course, it might just be warm winds from somewhere.

Good call, Roy not going to work. I have my 2 boys out there driving in it and won't really relax until they're back safe and sound. Schools all closed in this area but, surprise, surprise! Hydro power still on in the bush....so far. Stay safe!
