Re: Re: Goldiec,
Ciel, I wish I would have known about the mice and taking them away. It would have saved us some trouble.

Re: CCT,
The traps for rats are scary themselves! I would hate to have to deal with those here, but I've never seen one even around the dumpsters next door. Raccoons, yes, but no rats!
Mice seem unwilling/unable to learn from the mistakes of others. I catch them over and over in the same locations. Rats, though, are a lot smarter. Tame ones make sweet pets! But they are hard to keep contained.

I wonder if mice become a bit wary of traps. The most horrible thing that happened to me a year ago. I set a mouse trap under a basket in the tomato house. When I looked a couple hours later there was a mouse the trap had gone off, but guess.
There was a blinking rat under there as well. It did seem a bit dopey I wondered if it had been bonked by the trap.

Re: TAPS,
If they did, they won't get there until next winter!
I am content now to have fully reclaimed the kitchen where the food is handled. The rest are a nuisance that can do damage, but it was the kitchen, of course, that they always go to!
Traps today are a lot easier and safer to the fingers of the setter than they were then, I expect. That does take pressure off getting it done. I think, though, that I may be encouraging the evolution of peanut-butter resistant mice.

Re: sassyass,
I have, a few times, heard my name called out loud and clear, totally distinct from any dream... and woke to no one there at all!

Re: Pat,
In the dream I started as female, by the end I was male. It could certainly morph towards a writeable story! It involved riding a space shuttle and returning to Earth... then I told the bus driver who took us away from the shuttle just to drop me off on the corner, like that could happen! Then I walked up the road to a post restaurant for a meal. But it was full... I told them I was just off the space shuttle flight, and maybe deserved some special treatment.
Now, that bit came from reading an account of some nasty young women who barged into such a place without reservations, telling the waiter, "I know the owner so you better do what we say." In fact, he was the owner. He let them stroll down their garden path a while during which they continued rude and insulting, and ran up a bill over $4000.
I wasn't rude in the dream, was very patient and courteous, and woke up before the bill came.

Re: Goldiec,
Thanks for your good wishes for Charlie, I will pass them along!
What I've been told is that a live mouse must be carried quite far away, to not just come right back to the same place. If I ever get one of those live-catch devices and end up with a bucket of mice, I will walk them down towards the creek path a couple of blocks away.

I hope your mouse boarders did not all pack their bags and come my way. I can remember fighting mice in the big old house we raised our boys in.

Good morning
Dreams can be funny that way. I have heard noises in my dream only to wake up to the phone, alarm clock, or somebody knocking. Thank goodness for the spray of a hot shower. It works like magic.

The dream is an interesting translation between the sensations your arm
must have been sending to your brain as you slept and your interpretation of them as wires. Cool. And possibly a beginning to a sci fi story along the lines of the six million dollar woman. Perhaps an electronic mouse whispering device.

Good Morning
I hope that the show is a good one and that Charlie has a great turnout for his artistic creations. Thank goodness you haven't caught any mice but the sightings worry me. I hope they find a way out the way they came in. A few years ago in the Fall, we had our one mouse a year get in the house and Roy felt bad for it and caught it and took it outside. It came right back inside. I think it wanted to be a member of the family but that was just not going to work. Thankfully he closed the access hole and we haven't had to worry for awhile.
