Love this story. Have you ever considered taking all your shorties and doing an ebook?

It is all inside I don't know what she felt at the time the photo was taken. One cannot imagine that it was anything good. It could have been something similar to your suggestion.

Wonderfully written but so sad. We have one similar in our family history....Aunt Anna with three tiny ones, lost her husband one morning when his tractor turned over on him when he got too near a ditch.

Good Morning
Pat, I love the detail you put into this story. I have a feeling this lady could hold her own in almost every situation that crossed her path.

Re: Good morning
Sassy, this is the story, which stems from the picture in an ad that popped up on my FB page. My attempt at a twist was in the last paragraph.

Good morning
This lady has had more than her share of sadness. A hardened face nearly always implies that. I am guessing that she can now add the deep wrinkles and dark shadows to her face that come from being suddenly widowed. Not sure where this is going since you did mention that she didn't wish to remove fingerprints. I am sure that somewhere there is a twist to this story.
