Thank you, Sea Gypsy

It's a b*tch of a disease.

Fingers crossed, Kabu.

But we have people working on it. Thank you!

It seems 2022 isn't off to a good start for us here, CCT

Hoping it ends better than it has started - maybe the 'in like a lion, out like a lamb' thing? I hear you - they mixed us up with they changed to the metric system here in Canada too.

Thank you, Sassyass

And yes - not having the financial worry on top of the health worry does help.

That's right, Sassyass - whatever it takes!

Hahaha, FSI! Your comment brought a gigglethis morning.

I wouldn't want to go outside for the bathroom either in this weather.

We're used to cold temperatures here in Canada, Slam.

Many of us welcome them - so much of our activity takes place thiis time of the year. Ice fishing, snowmobiling, skiing....just to name a few.

Re: Liver and kidney problems are more fixable these days than they

Definitely, Pat_B, and they seem to have caught it early. We'll know more when he sees the oncologist on Monday.

We are used to the cold, Goldiec, and many enjoy it.

Thank you for your prayers. And I'm fortunate that it is only lately that my leg is giving me trouble. The accident happens years ago.

Thank you, TAPS

We're taking it day by day now, and are surrounded by wonderful people who help as much as they can. I used to bring up loads of wood for the day. Now it is 5 or 6 pieces at a time, coming up the steps like a toddler.

Goodness, that is cold I can never work out which is which we used to use to have F. one and now we have the other. 32F used to be freezing. I have to look at the thermometer but your cold sounds very cold. I suppose the warming of the planet seems a bit bizarre when you let the dogs out. I do hope your son will be okay. you do seem to have it tough lately. I guess prayers might help.

Good morning

I am so sorry to hear that your son is suffering so much, but a great health plan does offer better results. Modern medicine is phenomenal. Sending warm wishes and prayers your way for you and your family.

Good morning

Holy crap that is cold. I can't imagine having to climb stairs to get the wood so that I could keep warm, but whatever it takes to survive the freezing temps.

That's some cold weather there. I'm glad I don't have to go outside to the bathroom like a dog.

Reading this does help me maintain my faith in people.

Sorry to hear

I'm saddened that other people have worries like that. Although -29 would grind the world to a halt in England.

used to be, keeping my fingers crossed your son will be right as rain VERY soon. Hugs to you, Mama - cause his struggle is yours as well.  I am relieved today that our little cold snap is temporarily paused, it's supposed to be above 50 degrees F. here today.  Hugs.

Good Morning

When I read your post I was surprised how cold it is by you.  I was freezing yesterday and our windchill was 0 but today the windchill is supposed to be 20.  I was watching the weather this morning and they said for at least the next two weeks it's going to be very cold in our area.

I'm so sorry to hear your leg is giving you trouble.  Thankfully you have your family to bring the wood upstairs for you.  I think they are loving the fresh bread and treats that you share with them.  There's nothing better than fresh bread with some warm butter on it.

I was very sorry to read about your son's update on his tests.  Please tell him for me that I'm sending him healing light and I'm saying prayers for him.  He is included in my prayers every night.  There are so many people in need right now.  Of everything I've studied with vitamins and herbs over the years the one thing that stands out the most is our attitude towards sickness.  I've taken years of classes on strengthening our bodies.   Relying on our higher power and our own attitude is more important than anything.  The next thing I would share with him is nutrition.  There are so many things we can do ourselves to improve our health.  I wish him the very best.

I'm saying healing prayers for you today hoping that your leg starts to feel better soon.  If either of you should need prayers just send me a message and I will stop whatever I'm doing and pray for you.  Do not worry your son is covered in healing light.  I hope you stay warm and enjoy your day.

So sorry to read all about your Son's health.  I haven't been reading much of anything on the computer for a while so this is the first I really realized that this could be a really bad thing.  I hate that possibility.  I do though love the people loving him and offering so much to help in any way possible.  I surely do not see how you could carry wood up in the cold, cold frigid weather and with your injured leg.  When I lived in a different place, for several years I carried wood up a long flight of stairs (Peter helped so much back then) but I surely could not do it now.  I will definitely pray for your son and everyone who loves him.
