I was so touched by this post I felt I had to try to help. Here's hoping they can get to the Mayo Clinic. As a mother who has had to face challenges, I hope for health and healing for those in your family.

Re: Can't teach an old dog new tricks, Ciel.

Although that isn't true, and I've proved it, LOL. But not changing anytime soon.

Thank you, the Other Grandma

We're doing our best to stay positive, and hiding away the times that we are not until we can get back to that sense.

Thank you, Sasssyass

I believe most moms are mother hens deep down. Maybe some are not as vocal about it as I am.

That's wondeful and I'm sure her clients and your family appreciate it.

My gang comlains too now and then, but let one day go by without a call and they're contacting me to know what's wrong, LOL!

It can become overwhelming at times, CCT

But we deal with it, don't we? Most humans are resilient when they need to be fortunately. We all seem to find that little extra when we need it.

I am sure both your neighbour and his family really do appreciate

your help. Like you, I think that is how the world is supposed to be.

Good morning

Mother hens are the greatest. The world could use many more of them. You are a true humanitarian and an overall sweet person to be so kind and caring.

Nothing wrong with being a mother hen, I've got one daughter who

does this. The best part of that is that she's an attorney who runs an eldercare practice, and she makes sure her clients are looked after from both a legal and personal standpoint. She's loved old people since she was able to walk and talk and there are times when she calls me to share their stories. Her brothers tend to think she's bossy, but even they admit they're lucky to have her in their corner. Hugs on their way to you this morning. So happy you are you.

I know you are a kind person, I was here when you looked after Bird. It does seem you need something or someone to care for which is brilliant in a way as long as it does not overwhelm you. Take care.

Good Morning

I really enjoy reading your posts.  I feel like I'm looking at a reflection of myself.  It's like a full-time job to take care of and worry about my family, friends, and neighbors.  I have a 90-year-old neighbor and I'm always sharing food with him.  It's no big deal for me to cook a little extra food and share it.  It's easier for me to cook in the kitchen than it is for him.  His family is so appreciative but I told them that he is like family to us.  We bring his garbage cans in and his mail and anything else he needs we are right there for him.  I think that is the way the world is supposed to be.  I hope that your son is okay.  I'm sending blessings for him.  There are different paths he can take and I know you will guide him.  I hope you have a wonderful day filled with good thoughts.  Stay warm and safe.
