I always carried gallon jugs of water and food in the trunk in the winter.

I saw that in Virginia. Talk about terrible. Those roads are so messed up there.

It sounds very cold, we have just had a hard frost, the first for a long time the wind

has changed and I think it is coming from the Arctic. My helper is desperate for

wood. He even brought a large branch down from the Cemetery.

We had a similar situation on one of our major highways here about 5 years ago. A trailer truck skidded on the snow and blocked the road during rush hour. Some people spent 14 hours waiting for help. A canteen truck was in that mess, and he got out and opened up for business. There were  many stories of people helping each other out.

Hard times and dangerous times, humans often show our best humanity. Some of those people were stranded for over 24 hours!

We're getting some snow and super cold overnight, too. Just glad

I don't have to be out on the road.  About that overnight traffic jam in Virginia, I saw a story on the news that a delivery truck driver with a load of bread passed out loaves of bread to people near where he was stopped - distributed the entire shipment. Between him and the folks sharing their oranges, there were some heartwarming stories among the scary challenges. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Re: Good evening

Those high winds were so bad that we felt them here in Pittsburgh, and I believe that snow is headed our way tomorrow.

Good evening

I love dining out for lunch. Discovering new restaurants and entrees are the best.
