Oh boy - I actually lost a job because I didn't know enough to grin and bear it with the older boss who had a taste for youngerr female employees. Wish I had known you then, I could have used  the advice. I really liked that job too.

Times were different then and that's a good thing in this respect. Well written piece. Best wishes to you for a happy year ahead.

So proud of you. I myself may have felt lost and lonely at that age and fallen into his arms for seccurity...well actually I did, and what a mess life was for the next twenty years.

I suppose some women would be flattered by such talk. I once saw a young man punch his girlfriend's arm really hard. I thought that did not bode for a loving relationship. Sadly I was too young at the time to warn her. In the old days especially in the countryside, one more or less knew the pedigree of one's fancy. If one did not get it right, one had to stick it out. I knew a girl once who said she wanted ten children. I never found out if she achieved this ambition.

Good morning

I would expect nothing less from you when it comes to defending the people that you love. Biting your tongue at the appropriate time is fitting for you. I love the big baby in a business suit reference. You are such an intelligent woman who can sniff out a dumb ass from a mile away. I can't help but laugh as once again, we have yet another thing in common. John and I worked at a printing press for over a year at the Free Post in Monessen, PA back in 1992. As for dating, I wouldn't have a clue as to how that would work out for me if it came to it. John and I celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary tomorrow, so I am really out of touch where dating and single men are concerned. Anyway, peace, good health, and happiness to you. Happy New Year!

Good Morning

Pat, you are a very smart woman and I'm glad you saw through this guy in the early stages of this relationship.  He was not your type and you knew it.
