I guess you didn't hear of the Cardinals until you moved to Illinois.

definitely safe and warm here and not going anywhere. Not with Covid on the rise. Oh yes, we have been out, but with masks and vaccinations in order and keeping away from crowds.

Since the end result is for your daughter to read, why not discuss what you just said: that there were no sporting events in your like then, and why.

Good Afternoon
Pat, I love your post today. I was thinking about sports when I was young and the only thought that comes to mind is the Cleveland Indians but as you know they are now the "Guardians" which is going to take some getting used to. My family was not big on sports. Things are getting back to normal here. Slowly but surely we are organizing and putting things away. I have some new candles and I'm not exactly sure where I'm going to put them until I use them. I love candles though so I know I will find a place for them. They may have to go on the piano but the only problem with that is the fact that I'm running out of room on the piano. I'm still enjoying the tree lights. I never grow tired of them. It's raining here today and looks a bit gloomy outside.

Well Pat I can remember Workers Playtime it used to come from a different factory
each day no location. Of course, we like you I expect were always glued to the news.
There were odd football matches one stood behind a ring of rope and shivered
mostly. We did like to listen to the occasional boxing match, the radio needed to be
serviced regularly. We had to carry a glass case that held fluid to a store that
replaced ours with a charged one. I remember vaguely my parents did have a
previous wireless where one had to twist a whisker of wire around a crystal to
tune into vague sounds and music occasionally. Those were the days.
