Of course, once gardens were the main source of one's food. A pig in the sty was a good source of fertilizer. Here I suppose land is becoming too valuable and most of the front gardens are now car parks.

Wow! It looks like they do a really good job. My Dad always grew a really nice garden especially after he retired and had every day time to work in it. He shared so many things.

The World would go green again. Even on small balconys if people in the building would cooperate, the whole building could grow all the fruits and vegetables they need.
